Brunnen is a wonderful starting point for walking, mountaineering and climbing tours. The village lies at the foot of the Rigi and on the Swiss Path, which leads around Lake Uri. There are bike rides and bike tours for every taste. In summer, don’t miss a boat trip with the largest steamboat fleet in Europe. They take you to the starting point for hikes, to beautiful riverside restaurants or to the Rütli meadow.
The lakefront promenade is on the doorstep, as is the Lido, with indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Canoes can be rented next door. A cable car is within a 15 minute walk and takes you to the Urmiberg mountain restaurant with a breathtaking view at an altitude of 1100 metres.
